from: Abscess - Medical term for a common boil, a collection of pus in the skin or other body tissue.Carbuncle - Painful localized bacterial infection. A large, deep skin abscess formed by a group or cluster of boils.
Furuncle - The small sac at the base of a hair shaft. The follicle lies below the skin surface.
Furunculosis
A condition in which the patient suffers from recurrent episodes of boils.
Cyst - A closed sac or capsule, usually filled with fluid or semisolid material.
Antibiotic - A substance that inhibits the growth of or destroys bacteria or other
microorganisms.
Pus - A thick whitish-yellow fluid which results from the accumulation of white
blood cells (WBCs), liquified tissue and cellular debris. Pus is commonly a site of
infection or foreign material in the body.
Pustule
A small raised pimple or blister-like swelling of the skin that contains pus.
